QUESTIONS&ANSWERS... Shoes
Can I use your UCAN DOIT tm shoe dye kit on shoes I already have? Our UCAN DOIT kit can be used on any ‘DYEABLE’ shoe There is no guarantee on color matching swatches because different manufacturers use different qualities of materials, so dyes will react differently on different shoes. Always try the color on the sample swatches that are included with dyeable shoes. Let it dry before making a decision on shades. You can use a hair dryer to dry it quickly.
Can I send you a swatch of my material so you can match it for me? We will try to match swatches as closely as possible. But due to actual shoe materials – dyed colors can vary. Turn around time for recommendations of shoe dye can be time consuming. You can purchase our ‘shoe dye sample pak tm’ to actually see up to 8 shades at one time
Does it matter where I compare my swatch to match my shoes to the color? Yes! Are you wearing the shoes inside or outside? That’s where you compare the swatch to the dye color. Lighting makes a big difference on shading of dyes.
Can I dye my black shoes a lighter color? Not really – once black – there is no way to remove all the dye from the shoe material. You can'sometimes redye with a VERY dark color - its a chance you take
Can I change the color of my shoes? Yes it is possible – if the shoes are a light to medium color The process to remove a shoe dye is simple – but sometimes not complete Wash the shoes with 50% water and 50% bleach – let dry To stabilize the bleach – rewash shoes with white vinegar – let dry Dye with new color
Can I create my own color with 2 or more colors? You should not mix colors of pre-made dye with each other or with any other substance
What is the difference between Satin and Boca/Luxe/Luxe Crepe/Miami? The Satin shoes are made of satin material that is shiny When dyed the shoe takes om a matte finish The Boca /Luxe shoes are made with a crepe material When dyed the shoe has a matte textured finish and the shoe takes the dye to a darker shade
How do I figure what size I need when the shoes are from another country?
